This year Bridgeport is hosting the 148th Annual July 4th activities from July 1 to July 5.
No matter where you might be staying during the week, plan to bring the family to Bridgeport for at least a day of thrilling entertainment. The community is in the northern region of Mono County. To give you an idea of travel time, it’s about 90 minutes north of Mammoth Lakes. See a list of the 2010 Event Schedule.
In Bridgeport, you can see for yourself what an old time, all American town gathering is all about. There’s literally something for everyone to do; from toddlers to grandparents, activities abound. The festivities will start on Thursday, July 1 with such activities as an Arts and Crafts Festival and will conclude on July 5. There is the traditional and spectacular fireworks display at the Bridgeport Airport on July 4.
Other activities during the long weeks include a Turkey Shoot, a Rodeo (tickets available at event), a pancake breakfast hosted by the Eastern Sierra Academy, running events, a Main Street Parade, horseshoe tournament, mud volleyball, a greased pole climbing contest and even a rubber duck race.
Meanwhile, you can sample some delicious food and watch the kids have a ball at the fun attractions set up for them on the Courthouse Lawn.
